Roasted Milk

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1/2 liter of milk
  • 3/4 cup powdered panela, or 5 tablespoons of natural cane honey
  • 1 whole egg
  • 4 buds
  • A splinter of cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt

Caramel Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of powdered panela
  • 1/4 cup of water


To start we have to make two preparations. First, for the caramel, you must mix the powdered panela and water in a skillet over medium heat until the mixture acquires the desired consistency, neither too liquid nor too solid. With this candy covers the bottom of the mold where you are going to bake the preparation. In another bowl mix the milk, with the cinnamon and the powdered panela or the natural honey of cane, when the preparation is already boiling remove it from the stove and cover it. another bowl beat the egg yolks with a little salt. Little by little add the preparation of milk and panela in the form of thread, while mixing continuously until it thickens. Then pour the mixture into the caramel mold and cover it with the rest of the caramel. Finally, bake at 150 degrees centigrade for half an hour. With a toothpick you have to chuzar the dessert and to know if the center of the preparation is ready, if the stick comes out dry it is ready.

Then let it cool for a while and put it in the fridge for 40 min and that’s it!
